Dr Hamish Gray MBChB FACS(Orth) FAOrthA

Dr Hamish Gray is an experienced & trusted orthopaedic surgeon with a focus on lower limb surgery including arthroplasty (joint replacement), arthroscopy, joint reconstruction and revision surgery. 

Dr Gray graduated from Otago University in 2000. He completed his general orthopaedic training in Queensland in 2010. He then furthered his expertise in lower limb orthopaedic conditions and surgery by doing a number of fellowships:

  • Computer Navigated Arthroplasty Fellowship in Brisbane, 2010 

  • Complex Arthroplasty Fellowship including revision, rheumatoid arthritis, developmental dysplasia  & Lower limb reconstruction at Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, 2011

  • Paediatric Orthopaedics, Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, 2012

He returned to Queensland in 2012 and has worked for Queensland Health holding Director, Deputy Director, and Acting Director Roles. He has worked on the Sunshine Coast since 2014. He remains committed to serve both public and private patients.

Dr Hamish Gray holds an academic appointment as the Clinical Lead for Orthopaedics at Griffiths University teaching our local Sunshine Coast medical students. Dr Hamish Gray continues teaching and mentoring future orthopaedic surgeons.
